About Betsey Fowler

Betsey Fowler began serious sketching and painting at the age of ten while traveling the world with her parents. She continued the pursuit of art attending UCLA, University of Iowa, Illinois Institute of Technology and Hunter College. She holds a masters in photography and a masters in studio arts. In the late 1960's, Betsey Burhans married Jim Fowler, the naturalist and PhD Zoologist best known as the star of Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom and the wildlife correspondent for the Today Show. He was also a popular regular on the Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson. Betsey’s art is created through inspiration while traveling the world with Jim and observing closely all that surrounds her. She feels blessed to have lived this life of adventure and art.
